Welcome to the Halswell Players
The Halswell Players are a small, select group of character actors dedicated to bringing a little diverting individuality to your celebration. The Chocolate Girl is our newest creation and already a hit with guests with her gentle manners reminiscent of years gone by. The concept of a glamorous, 1950s inspired usherette offering chocolate bon bons while looking as pretty as the chocolate box itself can set a tone that is just right for you. So as you sit back and enjoy the speeches why not have this vision of loveliness glide among your guests discreetly offering chocolate heaven from her tray?
An altogether different offering is the ghost of Sir Nicholas Halswell, lately of the manor. An Elizabethan gentleman in the service of Good Queen Bess, he was Lord of the manor for some 30 years in the late 16th century. His ghost now stalks the house from time to time and if you ask him nicely he may float in.and out of your reception. Never rude, well almost never, and ever the gentleman, he stalks the house in a rather bemused state and is the perfect backdrop to your evening's entertainment. Capturing an image of him is difficult but he will be appearing shortly.
Both The Chocolate Girl and Sir Nicholas are available to book either together or separately for your event. The cost of each is £300 inclusive (timings during your event to be confirmed with you). Each character is also part of Halswell's premier wedding package called The White Peacock. This is a stunning way to have the wedding of your dreams and be the envy of all your friends. And then there is the Queen of Hearts and the White Rabbit. The Tulip Queen and her Fool together with Jack Frost, the Witch of Goathurst and the strange Colours that prowl the house and park beyond.
